You don’t have to be an enrolled player to have a lesson with us… anyone passing through the area / looking for someone to hit a few balls with is welcome to contact us

OUR COACHES

We currently have 3 full-time coaches and aim to grow even more in the future Our coaches are all experienced tennis players with an accomplished competitive track record. Between them, they have years of experience and tennis knowledge to pass on to the players at Born To Play. They are all originally from the Karoo and are very determined and passionate to keep tennis in the area alive and thriving.

Tiaan Mostert

A qualified level 1 advanced coach, Tiaan has around 10 years of coaching experience. As a junior u/18 player, Tiaan was chosen to represent his country overseas in England and Scotland. He has played a great part in the development of many young players, and is very well-liked and admired by the players he works with. He is a very good technical coach – there is no shot that coach Tiaan cannot teach!

Lente Taljard

Soon to be Mrs Mostert, coach Lente was a very successful junior player, ranking as high as the #4 woman in South Africa in her u/18 year. She was also chosen to represent her country, and was
offered a prestigious scholarship to play college tennis in the USA. She shares her passion for health and fitness through tennis.

Petrie vand der Merwe

Consistently earning his spot as top player in the Eastern Cape during his junior career, coach Petrie is a very good tennis
player and has been coaching tennis from a young age. He is qualified, friendly, and loads of fun on the tennis court. The players he works with are very fond of him, and he makes a big impact on improving their tennis
